The safest part of the safest big city

Commissioner Dermot Shea announced that over 400 guns were taken off the street in January in a month where shootings went up 20% compared to last year. While not mentioning bail reform by name, Shea claimed 90% of people arrested for gun possession wound up back on the streets as they await weeks for court hearings for their offenses. Unfortunately, six shootings that occurred during a two day blizzard nearly finds his theory credible.

The NYC Transit President Sarah Feinberg announced that heroin junkies are discarding their syringes and rubber ties on the track beds and platforms uptown to downtown and condemned the continuing malaise of mentally ill people attacking commuters and killing themselves on the subway and the urgent need for a bigger NYPD presence on the platforms and by the metrocard machines and token booths. Don’t know if that letter ever made it to the Blaz, but the Transit Police Chief dismissed Ms. Feinberg’s concern and claimed that subway crime was suitably low considering the amount of commuters being victimized by random acts of senseless violence every day.

Commissioner Shea also soberly acknowledged the frequent random attacks that’s been happening all over the transit system and lamented about a recent assault by a mentally ill man he was already familiar with.  But when Marcia Kramer asked The Blaz during his “media availability” about the crisis going on in the subway he brazenly lied to her and contradicted everything Shea has been saying as he was sitting on the dais with him. Then the Blaz brazenly accused Ms. Kramer of lying and fear mongering. So if you are a commuter, the only thing separating you from having a safe commute is de Blasio’s toxic hubris.

But if Transit President Feinberg is still waiting for a response, if she wants to know where the cops are being deployed as our subways devolve into a subterranean jungle, de Blasio’s and Shea’s NYPD has been policing more urgent matters like adding 200 cops to the battalion guarding the U.S. Capitol and the White House at President Biden’s inauguration; sending hundreds of cops to wall off protesters walking by City Hall and sending a militia of cops to a workers strike at Hunts Point and having two cops dressed as Cobra Commandos guarding the Charging Bull by Wall St. after a wiseguy put tape with Gamestop stock agitprop on the bulls’ head, taint and balls.

So NYC citizens, the only thing separating you from having a safe commute everyday is de Blasio’s toxic hubris.

In Tribeca at the Canal St. Station, a man with a thick branch that came off a discarded Christmas tree used it to attack two men and a woman, whacking each of them on their heads while screaming racial slurs, leaving one man knocked out after he relentlessly beat him down when he was coming down the stairs, then bloodying the woman on the platform and injuring and bloodying the other man as he tried to notify the token booth clerk. He ditched that vehicle and then broke windows of two cars he tried to jack from two women while they were stuck in traffic. This plunder is the latest incident of several lootings of high end stores in the area going back to June, when a  critical mass of thieves broke into stores one evening during a city curfew sparked by the Black Lives Matter protests that was decreed by Governor Cuomo and Mayor de Blasio. And like that crime spree, the recent looting at Chanel involved rental cars being used for getaways and an underwhelming response by the NYPD compared to the amount of cops being sent to protests;  especially by the Strategic Response Unit, which probably would be more useful against organized crime than organized protests.

In Greenwich Village, three women jumped another woman from behind and one of them hit on her on the head with a glass bottle and stole her cellphone.

In Downtown Manhattan, people publicly assembling in a protest march on the Brooklyn Bridge in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day got immediately confronted by de Blasio’s NYPD by City Hall and hundreds of cops in riot gear charged the demonstrators trying to force them onto the sidewalk. Even though the protesters were following the NYPD’s instructions, a riot ensued and led to 29 people arrested and 10 cops injured when a bunch of protesters fought back.

Even though the NYPD were suddenly the focus of NY State AG James with her recent lawsuit against the city for their violently illegal, dubiously arbitrary and unconstitutional response and brutality against participants in BLM protests last June, because of the insurrection of the U.S. Capitol on January 6 2021, a federal order was instituted that all government buildings in America were under blanket authoritative protection, which Mayor de Blasio eagerly cited to justify the militaristic deployment and oppression. (Which I fucking called)

Then they stripped his pants and britches off him and left him in a bloody pulp with his genitals exposed. They also stole his cellphone.

The gang dispersed as fast as they arrived; for they all showed up to the charter bus top via text by a relative of theirs who was beaten and robbed by their victim, who was revealed to be a gang member, when they both got on the bus that departed from Atlanta en route to NYC. The gangbanger stuck him up inside the bus and along with an accomplice (who did not accompany him the rest of the trip) and robbed the man’s watch, sneakers and jacket he happened to be wearing until the high-tech lynching on Canal St.  his victim surreptitiously arranged with his relatives on a cellphone he borrowed from another passenger. The man and three of his relatives turned themselves in to the authorities and claimed self-defense for the retribution in this incredible story of gang violence and tech weaponizing.

The 66-year-old man was also found to committing two other murders of elderly women that lived in the building he worked in at the Woodson Houses who he also hassled for money for favors. He stabbed an 82-year-old woman in the neck with a steak knife inside her apartment back in 2015 that was initially filed as a death by natural causes by authorities until the wound was found by a coroner at the funeral home that was handling her corpse. Four years later, he savagely beat an 83-year-old woman to death in her apartment by stomping on her neck. He was suspected for her murder but was let go because the DNA tracings he left behind were inconclusive because of how frequently visited her.

While the lethal handyman never got caught for murder, he was a recidivist criminal that was still allowed to live in a public housing building despite strict regulations against tenants piling up a criminal record. Notably when he faked a car crash with two other people to rip off an insurance company for $150,000. Now the family of his recent murder victim is suing NYCHA for $25,000,000 for not having a sufficient amount of security cameras in the building, which stems from complaints of other tenants for almost a decade and summarized by the rise of killings and shootings on NYCHA properties in the last two years.

The second time the woman recognized him and resisted at first and then the two crooks went behind the counter.

While one of thugs grabbed her and dragged her on the floor, his accomplice jumped over her frightened 5-year-old daughter and stole the tray from the register containing $700 as she ran and watched her mother get dragged outside by the recidivist bastard. Also in In Grant City, a bar co-owner got arrested by NYC sheriffs for serving drinks and food without masks while holding a one man army protest against New York State’s pandemic protocols and COVID zone designations by declaring the property of his business as an “autonomous zone”.  After he got arrested, S.I. residents and a sect of the right-wing activist group the Proud Boys showed up with American and Blue Lives Matter flags to rally in solidarity behind the bar.

A few days after the night rally, the bar co-owner continued to defy the pandemic  guidelines and regulations. Then he got confronted by the NYC Sheriffs officers after he closed and ran away from them, got in his jeep and proceeded to run over one of the deputies and drove a few blocks with the cop on the hood. The leisure revolutionary wound up getting caught and arrested and immediately released on his own recognizance after charges for resisting arrest, reckless driving menacing and vehicular assault for intentionally injuring a police officer.

The contrasts between between the two protest demonstrations after election day and the public assembly for this hole in the wall bar in Staten Island and the response by authorities are blatantly and stunningly egregious. This mild-mannered maniac proprietor/bartender runs over a cop and gets released in a day while people marching on the streets in the Villages gets subjected to ultraviolence from the NYPD for even a an accidental nudge to an officer. Plus the fact that this bartender wouldn’t have got away with this unscathed or even still be alive if he was a Black or Latino bartender.

Then there are the hundreds of S.I. residents (and some visitors from nearby states) clustering on a street in solidarity for the bar while standing on top of sheriff patrol cars and the most Commissioner Shea sends are four or five cops to guard Mac’s door for a few hours. No choppers, no pepper spray, no bike cops, no MOVE BACK MOVE BACK.

Mayor de Blasio’s doesn’t even has an answer for this. More likely he thinks the revolution in Staten Island is going to fade away if he doesn’t mention it. Just like all that police brutality he continues to ignore. Just like the stealth mass gathering events arranged by the Satmar communities in Brooklyn. All these indications of contagion that are in his face (and everyone else’s) even while speakeasy raves and bottle parties are getting repressed throughout the boroughs.

Then the mayor has the audacity to chastise parents for being too cautious sending their kids back to school even though a lot of them can’t, like the mother running small her business on the brink of bankruptcy in the Bronx. Yet some kook bartender is running a revolution in plain sight while co-opting the antifa-like tactics of political movements that he the Blaz ideologically agrees with.

Something stinks to high hell about all of this. To be continued in the next episode in Impunity City.

Your city.

023The house on Richmond Hill

Bronx

In Longwood, a man walked up to two cops sitting in their parked NYPD van and feigned to ask for directions then pulled a gun out and shot at both of them, hitting the cop driving the van in the face and chin as he pulled hit the gas to avoid getting himself and his partner killed. After that shooting, then the man ate dinner a Chinese restaurant.

The next morning, he asked a woman he knew to drive him to his mother’s house but jumped out of the car and ran into a police precinct in Huntspoint and went inside, pulled out a gun and started shooting as cops present there, hitting one officer in the arm. The shooter ran out of bullets and laid down on the floor for cops to arrest and lock him up, but not before the cops collectively beat the shit out of him.

The aspiring cop assassin went up to two cops on the street and talked shit to their faces the night before he shot at the police van and he served time for carjacking and shot a person and then wrecked two cars and engaed in a shootout with the NYPD who were in pursuit of him in 2002. He showed no remorse during his arraignment and boasted that he will try to kill more cops when he gets out of jail. Mayor de Blasio condemned the horrific mass killing attempts but because of his notorious insincerity, the NYPD union reps refused him and outright shunned the shameless promoter of America’s #SafestBigCity.

In Pelham Parkway, a woman withdrawing cash from and ATM at a bank was confronted by a woman banging on the glass door demanding to get inside claiming she left her card in there. Sensing that she was being dishonest, the woman inside didn’t let her in. Then when she walked out of the bank, the agitated woman followed her and suddenly was joined by two other women who then attacked her and beat her down to the pavement, leaving her with head trauma and injuries to her leg.

The victim filed a report to the NYPD six days after the attack then started to feel ill and went to a doctor. The doctor told her she had blood clots in her ankle from the assault that need to be treated, but the woman went home because she couldn’t afford the expense of high cost medical bills. Four days later, she died from her injury and the woman that stalked and beat her got arraigned for murder.

While arresting the immigrant, an ICE agent got into a physical struggle with the two sons and shot one of them in the face. The immigrant was previously pulled over by the NYPD while driving a car with a false license plate and subsequently released.

While the immigrant put himself and his relatives at risk, the ICE agents tactics to detain him were overzealous and ill-advised.

A man who runs an activist group devoted to stopping gang violence with ties to City Hall threatened to kill a traffic cop by saying he was going to send the Bloods after him. The man got paid $282,000 by the city for his services in 2019, which is over $25,000 of what Mayor de Blasio earned that year including the 5 months he was away making an idiot out of himself when he ran for president of America.

Then the man threatened to shoot them and went back into his airbnb rental apartment then came back to the line and flashed a gun at them, but calmer heads prevailed and the man put his weapon away. Usually when someone pulls out their piece during a block party or a street bbq in a Black or Latino neighborhood an NYPD battalion shows up and shoves everyone with nightsticks and draws their tazers at the citizenry.

Also in Downtown Brooklyn at the Atlantic Avenue/Barclays Center Station, a police investigation shut down the 2 train so cops could forcibly remove a man who they suspected of gun possession and the woman he was with. The dystopian police state action continued on the platform as the cops cuffed them without responding to the couple’s inquiries about what they did and why they are being arrested as over a dozen cops stand around guarding the detainment for some reason. Actually, it more resembles a mild version of an extraordinary rendition.

They decided to hang around town for over a week then they struck again three times in a little over 30 minutes breaking into commercial vehicles and a unsecured pickup truck, pilfering nearly $7,000 of construction tools and equipment. Along with two similar heists in Brooklyn in January, the dastardly duo made off with over 50 large worth of equipment. These villains must be contracted with some developer that’s either in a rush or is very very cheap.

In Herald Square, a man impersonating an MTA service worker ripped off $40 and two metrocards from two women when he conned them trying to help them purchase rides from the vending machines. The man was found to be a serial thief preying on harried commuters in a hurry and naive tourists with 138 prior arrests for pulling the same scam which included four other thefts in the stations this year alone and was released on his own recognizance no thanks to New York State’s new bail reform laws.

The recidivist criminal waltzed out of the courthouse boasting of his undeserved freedom and proclaiming that the poorly written new laws were “lit” and about his ill-gotten earnings which he topped off with yelling a racial slur and how unstoppable he is. A few days later he got caught by the cops at a homeless shelter for his 140th career arrest after he ripped off a woman by selling her an empty metrocard for $32 at the 42nd St. Station.

Proving the conman’s boast how lit bail reform is, Legal Aid lawyers vainly accused cops or profiling and embellishing charges against him and was released again. Then he went to the Times Square station and ripped off two tourists of 25 bucks by selling them a bum metrocard again, getting charged for the 142nd time.

But now the 142nd time is the charm, as the man proclaimed that he will not rob commuters anymore…

According to the charges, two fourteen-old-boys committed the murder as one held her while the other boy stabbed her after she defended herself while preventing them from stealing her cellphone. She bit her killer on his finger. So my theory that it was an adult male that did it was wrong.

The killer’s stepfather may have sentenced him early by admonishing the boy at the precinct by yelling that he wasn’t poor or struggling because of the expensive sneakers he wore and how he should have went to school and stayed away from kids with bad influences.

So the killer wasn’t a grown ass man, but a couple of ignorant kids.

During the worst heatwave of the summer, The NYPD sent a social media BULLETIN  announcing that it was too hot for criminal activity. This ill-advised P.S.A. to the city’s worst elements of society was followed with humiliating and tragic consequences.

A few hours after this idiotic missive was sent by N.Y.’s finest, a man was running down the street firing a gun and hit an 11-year-old boy with a stray bullet in East Harlem.

Then in other areas in Brooklyn and Manhattan during the sweltering heat, there seem to be a deranged bucket challenge going on. Men were throwing buckets of water on themselves then on random people. And when cops showed up, the incorrigible men converged on them and threw buckets of water on them. Even in the middle of arresting a man, with one asshole throwing a bucket at a cops head. One woman who confronted cops in a cruiser got hit with gallons of water as she was trying to complain about the incorrigible men. All the cops did was stay inside with the windows rolled up. Another video showed cops getting doused by a gang waiting for them on a street corner while they were on a break drinking coffee. Shockingly, instead of arresting them or calling for backup, all the cops walked away drenched. All the derelict mayor de Blasio did was to chime in that these soakings were unacceptable in an obligatory condemnation tweet on his social media account.

This shocking display of anarchic behavior managed to predictably garner outrage and outlandish hyperbole from police union heads on how the cops are themselves handcuffed from fighting crime.

In contrast to the criticism of these cops on the street by their own reps and peers, there were progressive and liberal people, notably the reputed social justice warriors, making wrongful equivalencies about the stupid and illegal behavior of the water throwers by citing police shootings, brutality and wrongful arrests and searches of Black and Hispanic citizens. And that it was only harmless water. Despite those pressing issues, they had nothing to do with this. There was no civil rights demands being displayed here and it was surely not some act of reparation for all those abuses previously listed that the NYPD dished out. These were cops just responding to calls and in one case in the middle of an arrest and these people were acting like total dicks. You have to have respect for authority, cops are working class people too. (Who also have to strive to afford to live in this city while protecting it).

As for the NYPD response and total lack of it, it seems they took their PSA about the weather being to oppressive to commit crimes too literally and the most obnoxious men from Brownsville and Harlem took advantage of it. Although they did catch up to the water tossers and eventually arrested them.

Unfortunately, the NYPD’s insouciance for these incidents took a turn for the worse the following week…

Brooklyn

In Brownsville, an annual block party event at a city park was disrupted when a gunman was shooting into a crowd and hit 12 people, killing one man.  According to initial reports, a fight broke out between drunken revelers before the gunfire took place and two shooters were involved including the dead victim, who served time for gun possession and was released back in January. He was flashing a piece earlier in the day even though he was still on parole. 30 bullets were found in the playground and a gun in a bag was found stashed behind a tree.

The Old Timers Day block party is a homecoming event and is attended by thousands of citizens every year and also by local elected officials and politicians. The festival also had vendors. Hundreds of cops were deployed that evening for supervision and protection. So where were they when this shooting went down? A police sergeant alleged in an email that there was an order not to enforce action on unruly crowds, which was swiftly denied by the NYPD spokesman. But there’s got to be a reason why two gangbangers felt secure enough to settle their scores with each other by brazenly trying to cap each other at a highly attended and supposedly protected event.

Well if there was a reason not to quell the crowd going by an allegation of a frustrated anonymous cop, it’s led to a fugitive. The shooter(s)/killer(s) are still out there on the streets. It’s sort of ironic that the NYPD pulled out all the stops to hunt down a bunch of obnoxious jerks (with priors) that threw buckets of water and water buckets at them, but they couldn’t find a mass shooter(s) even though there was an army of cops just minutes away from the playground. The latter is what should be really unnerving to the citizenry and especially for all cops.

Also in Brownsville at the Broadway Junction Station, two men engaged in an argument escalated as they started brawling with each other on the mezzanine between the J and L trains, then one slashed his opponent four times, hitting him in the neck, chin and arm.
