The safest part of the safest big city

Commissioner Dermot Shea announced that over 400 guns were taken off the street in January in a month where shootings went up 20% compared to last year. While not mentioning bail reform by name, Shea claimed 90% of people arrested for gun possession wound up back on the streets as they await weeks for court hearings for their offenses. Unfortunately, six shootings that occurred during a two day blizzard nearly finds his theory credible.

The NYC Transit President Sarah Feinberg announced that heroin junkies are discarding their syringes and rubber ties on the track beds and platforms uptown to downtown and condemned the continuing malaise of mentally ill people attacking commuters and killing themselves on the subway and the urgent need for a bigger NYPD presence on the platforms and by the metrocard machines and token booths. Don’t know if that letter ever made it to the Blaz, but the Transit Police Chief dismissed Ms. Feinberg’s concern and claimed that subway crime was suitably low considering the amount of commuters being victimized by random acts of senseless violence every day.

Commissioner Shea also soberly acknowledged the frequent random attacks that’s been happening all over the transit system and lamented about a recent assault by a mentally ill man he was already familiar with.  But when Marcia Kramer asked The Blaz during his “media availability” about the crisis going on in the subway he brazenly lied to her and contradicted everything Shea has been saying as he was sitting on the dais with him. Then the Blaz brazenly accused Ms. Kramer of lying and fear mongering. So if you are a commuter, the only thing separating you from having a safe commute is de Blasio’s toxic hubris.

But if Transit President Feinberg is still waiting for a response, if she wants to know where the cops are being deployed as our subways devolve into a subterranean jungle, de Blasio’s and Shea’s NYPD has been policing more urgent matters like adding 200 cops to the battalion guarding the U.S. Capitol and the White House at President Biden’s inauguration; sending hundreds of cops to wall off protesters walking by City Hall and sending a militia of cops to a workers strike at Hunts Point and having two cops dressed as Cobra Commandos guarding the Charging Bull by Wall St. after a wiseguy put tape with Gamestop stock agitprop on the bulls’ head, taint and balls.

So NYC citizens, the only thing separating you from having a safe commute everyday is de Blasio’s toxic hubris.

In Tribeca at the Canal St. Station, a man with a thick branch that came off a discarded Christmas tree used it to attack two men and a woman, whacking each of them on their heads while screaming racial slurs, leaving one man knocked out after he relentlessly beat him down when he was coming down the stairs, then bloodying the woman on the platform and injuring and bloodying the other man as he tried to notify the token booth clerk. He ditched that vehicle and then broke windows of two cars he tried to jack from two women while they were stuck in traffic. This plunder is the latest incident of several lootings of high end stores in the area going back to June, when a  critical mass of thieves broke into stores one evening during a city curfew sparked by the Black Lives Matter protests that was decreed by Governor Cuomo and Mayor de Blasio. And like that crime spree, the recent looting at Chanel involved rental cars being used for getaways and an underwhelming response by the NYPD compared to the amount of cops being sent to protests;  especially by the Strategic Response Unit, which probably would be more useful against organized crime than organized protests.

In Greenwich Village, three women jumped another woman from behind and one of them hit on her on the head with a glass bottle and stole her cellphone.

In Downtown Manhattan, people publicly assembling in a protest march on the Brooklyn Bridge in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day got immediately confronted by de Blasio’s NYPD by City Hall and hundreds of cops in riot gear charged the demonstrators trying to force them onto the sidewalk. Even though the protesters were following the NYPD’s instructions, a riot ensued and led to 29 people arrested and 10 cops injured when a bunch of protesters fought back.

Even though the NYPD were suddenly the focus of NY State AG James with her recent lawsuit against the city for their violently illegal, dubiously arbitrary and unconstitutional response and brutality against participants in BLM protests last June, because of the insurrection of the U.S. Capitol on January 6 2021, a federal order was instituted that all government buildings in America were under blanket authoritative protection, which Mayor de Blasio eagerly cited to justify the militaristic deployment and oppression. (Which I fucking called)

Then they stripped his pants and britches off him and left him in a bloody pulp with his genitals exposed. They also stole his cellphone.

The gang dispersed as fast as they arrived; for they all showed up to the charter bus top via text by a relative of theirs who was beaten and robbed by their victim, who was revealed to be a gang member, when they both got on the bus that departed from Atlanta en route to NYC. The gangbanger stuck him up inside the bus and along with an accomplice (who did not accompany him the rest of the trip) and robbed the man’s watch, sneakers and jacket he happened to be wearing until the high-tech lynching on Canal St.  his victim surreptitiously arranged with his relatives on a cellphone he borrowed from another passenger. The man and three of his relatives turned themselves in to the authorities and claimed self-defense for the retribution in this incredible story of gang violence and tech weaponizing.

The 66-year-old man was also found to committing two other murders of elderly women that lived in the building he worked in at the Woodson Houses who he also hassled for money for favors. He stabbed an 82-year-old woman in the neck with a steak knife inside her apartment back in 2015 that was initially filed as a death by natural causes by authorities until the wound was found by a coroner at the funeral home that was handling her corpse. Four years later, he savagely beat an 83-year-old woman to death in her apartment by stomping on her neck. He was suspected for her murder but was let go because the DNA tracings he left behind were inconclusive because of how frequently visited her.

While the lethal handyman never got caught for murder, he was a recidivist criminal that was still allowed to live in a public housing building despite strict regulations against tenants piling up a criminal record. Notably when he faked a car crash with two other people to rip off an insurance company for $150,000. Now the family of his recent murder victim is suing NYCHA for $25,000,000 for not having a sufficient amount of security cameras in the building, which stems from complaints of other tenants for almost a decade and summarized by the rise of killings and shootings on NYCHA properties in the last two years.

New Bad Days 76: During The Rapid Rise In Gunfire And Citizens Getting Hit On The Streets, The NYPD Spends Their Funding Exerting Revenge Seizures Of Protesters; City’s Shuttling Of Homeless People And Drug Addicts In Hotels In Two Upscale Areas Lead To Total Chaos; A Lone Man With A Hammer Has Been Smashing Subway Train Windows For A Month; Crazy Woman Slathers Black Lives Matter Slogan With Paint By Trump Tower Again; Two Men Get Shot Dead By A Memorial For A Friend That Got Shot Dead By Prospect Park; Food Aid Gets Dumped In The Wrong Places; Mass Gatherings Of Youths At Raves Continue In Defiance Of Another COVID-19 Outbreak As Gun Violence, Car Theft, Muggings, Stabbings, Hold-Ups And Burglaries Make Upward Trajectories As Suspicions Of A Policing Slowdown Gains Traction

Chalk up 2020 as the Summer Of Guns.

Since Governor Andrew Cuomo declared the coronavirus crushed back in June 5th (or 4th or 6th), the dominant pathogen in the five boroughs this year was the bullet. Which spread like wildfire over the summer bringing this years total to over 1,000 shooting incidents, hitting over 1,200 citizens (including children) leading to 107 deaths in 12 consecutive weeks of gun violence ending in the month of August, a rise of 89 and 97% respectfully and contributing to over 300 murders which has went up by 35% compared to last year.  At the pace it’s continuing as of this writing ,the amount of shootings and victims will eclipse the total amounts of the past two years.

More people are buying bulletproof vests. Must have been when Council Speaker Corey “Cojoke” Johnson described this meteoric rise in gun violence as a health emergency.

The shootings and other serious crimes that have also risen has brought attention and suspicion among the general public and even officials that the NYPD are collectively engaging in a slowdown, because of the low amount of arrests and their late and even lack of responses to crime on the streets. Particularly with the shocking low amount of arrests for gun possession. de Blasio’s NYPD police commissioner’s cites again and again that it’s because of the cuts to the force from the last budget that was partially influenced by the hashtag abolish NYPD constituency. Although signs still legitimately point to the misguided and poorly legislated bail reform laws, recidivist offenders being released on the streets and the city and state’s mandate to release convicts because of the hazardous conditions in prisons being that are not safe from spreading coronavirus and even from Shea’s premature decision to abolish the anti-crime unit tasked to pursue illegal firearms.

But apparently, even with elevated crime levels and funds reallocated from New Yorks Finest, de Blasio’s NYPD still found a lot of expense, personnel and time to settle a few grudges with a few protesters from Black Lives Matter:

Manhattan

In Kips Bay, an 18-year-old transgender woman riding a skateboard during a protest march on 2nd Ave was grabbed by five men who jumped out of a minivan. They turned out to be cops from the NYPD’s plain clothes warrant squad driving in an unmarked vehcile. They looked almost like the anti-crime unit Commissioner Shea disbanded in June.

Aiding this brazen and disturbing rendition on a public space were a squad of cops on bikes that were utilizing their cycles as weapons and shields to thwart witnesses and other protesters from viewing or stopping the arrest. Two of the bike cops ran over a person in their zeal to stop the protesters as the cops sped away with their collar in the van without even a police siren or a light indicating who they were as they cut off a truck when they ran the red light at 23rd St., which is a two way street.

What makes her arrest stunning is the way it was executed and literally choreographed like a scene from a Jason Bourne movie as if they knew she was coming or was being practically hunted by the NYPD for weeks.  The things that probably made this disturbing event possible is from facial recognition technology since she painted over street surveillance cameras that surely grabbed her face while she was vandalizing them and also placing some undercover officers or informants marching with the Abolition Park group and Black Lives Matter marchers, both of which are very likely especially the latter since a man involved with AP was pinched by an undercover for cutting cables under an NYPD van in Bay Ridge. Quite likely another cop posing as a demonstrator infiltrated this one. But they could have easily marked her down too from a Gothamist story featuring the woman at the Occupy City Hall protest 20 days earlier.

Nope, this is yet again another attempt to discourage and intimidate people from protesting against systemic injustices and endemic corruption in government and the enforcers that protect these institutions and the fortification of a police state by utilizing a local police force as central intelligence agency apparatus. If you think the optics of this woman’s arrest looks frightening, watch how the New NYPD literally vanishes a woman talking shit at a cop while drunk outside of a bar:

As for Mayor Big Slow de Blasio, his deliberately belated response to this broad daylight rendition by his police department whose officers did not even read the woman her rights was full of spineless insouciance and abject denial of the command that was implemented for this dystopian display of arbitrary oppression.

As amazing as how NY’s Finest has turned itself into a military junta during this pandemic and societal crisis, it’s equally amazing how the Blaz is able to sit upright without a spine at his daily briefings. In a pathetic show of pseudo objectiveness, he cowardly blew off the severity of the “effecuated” arrest. Which is shocking coming from a person who is always prioritizes optics for every decision he makes, especially regarding the paramilitary and invasive spying tactics of the NYPD.

Which both came to it’s absolute nadir a few weeks later…

In Hell’s Kitchen, the NYPD deployed a battalion of cops to an apartment building to execute an arrest of a man wanted for assaulting a cop by yelling through a megaphone at her ear at a Black Lives Matter counter-protest against a Blue Lives Matter rally and march in Bayside a few days earlier and in another cop’s ear two months before. 30 cops stood guard outside his building and blocked the street from traffic as two NYPD choppers flew overhead. Cops accessed his building and stood in front of and repeatedly banged on his apartment door with a K9 dogs barking trying to intimidate him as other cops arrived from their “Strategic Unit” and tried to negotiate by lying that he had lawyers ready to represent him as the man saw two cops across the street in an apartment building window directly from him.

With all the knuckleheaded determination to persuade the man to surrender with amateur psy-ops, the Black Lives Matter activist refused to open his door and filmed his entire encounter and himself jamming to music on his social media account. The cops then left after six hours without him because they didn’t have a warrant for his arrest. The amount spent for this profligate fruitless pursuit is not known, but this was ordered despite the NYC Council cutting one billion dollars from the NYPD budget. What is also not known is who made the command to hunt this activist down, since Mayor Big Slow de Faustio claimed that Shea had nothing to do with it even though he’s the fucking commissioner.

Despite the Blaz and Shea’s contemptible denials and obfuscations, they spent a huge amount of tax dollars just to settle a grudge and indict a protest organizer. Which falls in line with the billions of dollars at the city’s expense for all the corruption and bigotry driven abuse staining the badge for the last few decades; the exact reason why the citizenry is protesting against every day in the fucking first place.

Also in Hell’s Kitchen, a church had to put up an obstruction in front of their entrance after after a group of homeless people were using the steps to shoot heroin and excrete bowel movements and urinate on them. The superintendent also had to clean up discarded liquor bottles left behind by the derelicts who were residing in a luxury hotel next door in accordance with the city’s policy to housing the homeless in them until the pandemic subsides.

Again in Hell’s Kitchen,  a man got shot at twice in the chin and arm on the street and didn’t reveal who pulled the trigger.

And again in Hell’s Kitchen, a homeless man went raving mad when a restaurant wouldn’t let him use the bathroom and then took his frustrations on two women dining on a table outside and spat on one of their plates. The one time hip bar hopping areas has become a slum with streets of derelicts shooting up, imbibing booze, and fucking and sleeping on the sidewalks.

And again in Hell’s Kitchen, a man bashed a bunch of bottles of juice and soft drinks on his head inside of a deli over and over again while lying prone on the floor. The clerk expressed grief about the growing number of aggressive vagrants frequenting his store because a hotel across the street started housing homeless people that were transferred from shelters.

In the Upper West Side, Mayor de Blasio’s Department of Homeless Services shuttled hundreds of homeless people to shelter at three hotels on 77th St., 79th St. and 87th St. near without consulting residents of the town with help from the Federal Emergency Management Agency who contributed 3/4 of the funding to house them to prevent another outbreak of COVID-19. A bulk of the men were recently released from prisons and from a shelter full of men with drug struggles. Six of them turned out to be convicted pedophiles.

Neighborhood residents encountered on their commutes men masturbating, pissing and shitting in public and also shooting heroin, snorting blow, drinking booze and smoking K2 along with blatant drug dealing and derelicts prone on the ground from overdosing in full view on the sidewalks and on the benches on the medians on Broadway. Since the arrival of the city’s most destitute and unwanted and even though they are being housed in luxury rooms it’s led to a proliferation of more people sleeping on the streets and a rise in petty theft, aggressive solicitation and verbal harassment of random passerby including kids. Demands for the NYPD to patrol the nine blocks were these offenses were occurring did not get or even merit a response, even though Commissioner Shea lives exactly 6 blocks south from the area.

Being that drug use and selling went up, it looks like de Blasio wanted to do his own version of Hamsterdam from the fourth season of the Wire (the Blaz is a big fan of that show) by sending all the homeless people to an area where they might be accepted,  where a bulk of residents have liberal values that sympathize with poor people’s struggles and addictions. But it instead turned out that these enlightened residents don’t take too kindly to vices and recidivism when it’s on their blocks, sharing concerns with neighbors who don’t share their views and are reviled and understandably fearful of the presence of drug abuse and crime.  Just like in Hamsterdam, cops hardly responded to offenses committed by the homeless people. Like some kind of immunity because of the pandemic.

In the Wire’s Hamsterdam, the junkies were moved to a block where buildings were mostly vacant so the junkies can have a red light district to sell, cop and shoot up. But de Blasio’s UWS Hamsterdam, the homeless was shipped to a densely populated neighborhood that couldn’t handle the deluge of junkies that came flocking in and naturally didn’t expect the ramifications, because The City elected not to tell them who was coming in. Even about 900 of them. Goes to show that progressive minds can’t block or obscure even the saddest realities of the poverty and despair of people suffering from rampant drug use and fractured mental states and condensing these suffering people in a small area will only lead to disaster if not properly monitored or cared for.

Also the Upper West Side, a man was shot to death on the street from getting blasted in the chest at a playground following a fight with his killer.

Again in the Upper West Side, a man torched a police car that was parked on a block.

And again in the Upper West Sideat the 72nd St. Station, a man sneaked up behind a woman on the platform and stabbed her in the shoulder while holding a package of diapers.

And again in the Upper West Side, a 13-year-old boy had his cellphone robbed by another boy who grabbed it while passing by him riding a citibike. The victim is the son of a NYPD Deputy Commissioner in charge of the department’s counter-terrorism unit, a division that actually needs to be defunded.

And again in the Upper West Side, a man shot another man at his groin during a hold up.

And again in the Upper West Side, two men engaged in a shootout on the street and ran when the Guardian Angels tried to catch them.

And again in the Upper West Side, a man was shot in the stomach in the middle of the avenue.

And again in the  Upper West Side, a man pushed an NYPD Chaplain down on the sidewalk and took his wallet, then left it behind and ran away.

And again in the Upper West Side, a man got shot to death in front of an apartment building entrance at the Amsterdam Houses.

In the Lower East Side, a protest march in solidarity with the uprising against Trump’s federal copstapo in Portland went awry as a group of people vandalized and damaged NYPD vehicles and set trash can fires on the streets while body-armored cops kettled and trapped protesters on the street.

Also in Lower East Side, homeless people set up a homestead shanty town village underneath the highway on the FDR drive. When de Blasio’s Sanitation Dept. came by to destroy it and throw everything they organized into the garbage, they returned again the next day and rebuilt their shantytown and fortified it a portion of a chain link fence. Like I said, these people should be administrating new housing infrastructure for the HPD.

Again in the Lower East Side, a double decker booze cruise boat was met with the NYC Sheriffs Dept and busted for violating pandemic protocols for holding a party without social distancing.

In the East Village, a crew of homeless people built a loft apartment on the sidewalk underneath scaffolding where a luxury building is under development.

Mayor de Blasio, who recently proclaimed that he will not tolerate homeless encampments in his city, oh sorry your city, sent his Sanitation Dept. to raid the homestead and throw all the discarded furniture they collected into the garbage trucks. The next day, the same street denizens returned with new furniture and rebuilt their concrete floor homestead after waiting across the street until the coast was clear.

When de Blasio’s Sanitation Dept. wrecked their sidewalk village again, the crafty vagrants moved across the street to the shuttered Orpheum theater and easily reassembled their habitat. Instead of hassling and trying to disappear these people why doesn’t the Blaz contract them and build real affordable housing for the NYC Housing and Preservation Department?

Also in the East Village, a man on liquid courage tried to sit at a outdoor table in front of a trendy restaurant and got violent when a waiter told him they were closing and then he randomly attacked a man with a chair then got into a tussle with two women who were drinking there and slashed them with a metal blade. One of the women who fought him off was the daughter of famed stage and television actor Kelsey Grammar, so it’s no surprise where she got the instinct to deal with a knife handler.

In Midtown between Times and Herald Squares on Broadway, junkies are shooting up and getting loaded on heroin while lounging on the urban garden furniture and passing out on the streets where overpriced eateries used to set up little take out stands for foodies to dine al fresco. One of the Blaz’s spokespeople called this “unacceptable” and then the junkies returned to the urban garden and loaded themselves with the works again. A few weeks later, junkies were discovered shooting up by an non-functioning phone booth around brunch time about a block away.

Also in Midtown, a man plopped a can of paint on de Blasio’s Black Lives Matter mural in front of Trump Tower and spread it all over the slogan despite the mayor’s decision to deploy more cops there to guard it. The seventh time it’s happened. The city left the stain there for a week.

After the city finally cleaned it up, a woman stopped by and splattered the BLM mural again with blue paint. And then she returned dressed as the Statue of Liberty rolling a hand truck down the avenue and did a vandalism hat trick and spilling a bucket of pink paint on the mural. Capping her triumph by yelling the word freedom like Mel Gibson in Braveheart as her co-horts screamed like lunatics and waved Trump re-election signs.

It really says something about the lengths people will show for President Trump and not for the Mayor of New York City, that the Blaz is more loathsome than the guy who blew off the pandemic at its early stages and has left the economy in purgatory. Maybe the next time the idiot Hizzoner wants to manifest of his virtue signal tweets he should go through the proper permit process like his constituency have to instead of brazenly circumventing it thinking no one will notice.

Again in Midtown, a man walked into a designer handbag store and snatched a bunch of purses worth two grand and also a garment bag then flashed a box cutter at a worker and ran. This store is 2 blocks away where 9 cops are guarding the Black Lives Matter mural at Trump Tower from being vandalized.

And again in Midtown, an 18-year-old woman from Wyoming visiting NYC decided to visit the Empire State Building with a gun in her backpack and a man from Louisiana tried to do the same thing the next day. Bad enough there’s a pipeline trafficking guns to NYC that’s going unchecked and these hayseeds come here and think they can just waltz into a heavily guarded landmark tourist attraction with their pieces just because they have permits.

And again in Midtown, two groups of artists got into a brawl over space to sell their works in front of the New York Public Library that escalated when a man tried to bully two women from a corner by yanking a cellphone from one of them, leading them to shoot mace at his face. Then the brute took out a knife and wildly slashed one of the women and also a woman that accompanied him.

And again in the Upper East Side, a man on parole after serving time for burglary got caught in a woman’s apartment trying to burglarize it following two weeks of breaking into other apartments in the vicinity and the Upper West Side, where he stole five grand in jewelry and threatened a resident and robbed him of 90 bucks.

The woman wound up with a fractured spine and is afraid to go back to work.

Also in Greenwich Village, a homeless man built a homestead by the New School building with shopping cars filled with furniture and other items discarded by the rich people who abandoned and moved from New York City. The only thing the man didn’t get from the city’s upper class fugitives was a toilet, as he takes his shits out in the open on the sidewalk.

Again in Greenwich Village at the Christopher St. Station, a man fell between the cars of the 1 train and got stuck under the tracks.

In Hudson Yards at the 34th St. Station, a man with a hammer smashed every window on every car on the 7 train.

The vandal (and maybe an accomplice or two or other vandals) are responsible for damaging over 200 windows on the 7 line as well as the 2 and 3 lines, continuing a vandalism destruction spree for four months and now the MTA is all out of glass.

Yet they have 10,000 bucks to spare for a reward for citizens to catch the hammering vandal, proving that the MTA  is too broke to deploy transit cops to monitor the station. It’s baffling that Governor Cuomo didn’t get the guy who did his COVID grave poster draw up some old-timey most wanted signs.

But even if King Andrew did that (and he could because he runs the MTA) it still wouldn’t deter the recidivist vandal. Despite the bounty the hammering vandal returned to the Hudson Yards Station and pulverized another 20 windows on the 7 train again. The NYPD added another $2,500 to the reward for the recidivist, which they probably dredged from a high brass cops office chair after all the money they spent hunting two protesters in the city.

After getting the NYPD to add to the bounty, the MTA decided to implement their 90’s era broken windows crime prevention strategy to capture the serial window breaker. Duh.

Then residents were flabbergasted and horrified to hear explosions nearby their homes around 11 p.m because the city rescheduled the spectacle because of inclement weather and they didn’t NotifyNYC of the change. The “show” was for an irrelevant and terrible network’s award show.

New Bad Days 75: Daily Shootings And Gang Violence Resurface In The Bronx, Manhattan And Brooklyn In A Rise In Violence Not Seen In 30 Years While Clashes Between BLM Protesters And Police Supporters Escalate, An Occupation Protest At City Hall Goes Awry And Barhoppers Persist To Party Hard In Defiance Of A Novel Virus On The Streets Of New York

Following the daily relentless George Floyd protests against systemic police brutality and the exposure of the NYPD equally relentless aggression against the people participating in them even when violent crimes were rising on the streets of the five boroughs particularly shootings in 10 precincts, Commissioner Shea and Mayor de Blasio decided to abolish the plain clothes anti-crime units that were tasked with getting guns off the street.

Since that decision, it has correlated with a 205% rise in shootings which included 112 people getting shot in 9 days at the end of June, concluding a month where shootings went up an astonishing 130% compared to 2019 for this month. 40 people were shot at on the 4th of July alone. Murders are up 23% heading into August.

Commissioner Shea attributes the bloody violence happening daily not to his (and surely de Blasio’s) decision to suspend the anti-crime unit, which was recently deployed to selectively enforce pandemic protocols towards Black and Latinx people in lower median income neighborhoods but on the city and state bail reform laws enacted at the start of 2020. Both of them along with Chief Monahan also cite that the court system has not been fully available because of the coronavirus, even though hearings have been going since the pandemic first hit NYC in March.

Even though all of the Mayor’s, Shea’s and Monahan’s theories are debunked by the fact that the majority of the shooters have not been caught and are still running around on the streets and shacking somewhere else because the NYPD are making remarkably less arrests than they have last summer in 2019.  About over 60% less, which correlates with the horrendous rise of gun violence and killings.

Another factual reason why is that illegal guns are easier to get now as federal agencies tasked to stop gun trafficking are overwhelmed and understaffed because of the pandemic. A sociological reason might be that the worst elements of society collectively feels that the police can be overcome because of the reform laws enacted knowing that cops will be hesitant to apply submission holds during a difficult arrest with a perp for fear of being arraigned for a chokehold and the general hatred and mockery being dished from the protesters. And a logistical reason could be that lots of cops were redeployed from precincts to monitor all these impromptu protests in the last 50 days since the curfew protests, including the recent ones by Blue Lives Matter, which ironically has led to refunding the NYPD with more overtime pay.

But after a month of infighting and blaming, the Blaz and Shea have come up with a 6-point solution to tamp down on the daily fusillades and homicides racking up and they didn’t need to come up with an anagram to initiate it. Declaring to End Gun Violence Now and although no wants to get shot, the goal in it’s title is still unrealistic considering how relentless the gun violence on the streets are and a majority of them are not caught, it’s ambition is as comparable the Blaz’s Vision Zero street safety initiative for pedestrian and vehicles which has not done much for neither and people are still dying.

endviolence

But at least de Blasio’s NYPD has a plan for now, even if the goals are what they should be doing in the first place. After they make some progress with this, maybe they’ll also come up with plan to end knife, machete, fist, kick, non-consensual sexual and blunt object violence too.

It’s basic, but it’s worth a shot. No pun intended.

Manhattan

In Harlem, a 7-year-old girl was hit by a stray bullet shot from the gun fired by a 16-year-old boy while she was eating on the stoop as her mother was taking out groceries from her car when someone took out a gun and fired it during street fight among a group of men. A man also got shot in the leg during the melee. The mother is now contemplating ordering her groceries from home. I’m sure Bezos and all the other shop from home tech predators are onto to this unfortunate demographic.

Also in Harlem, during a fight over a drug deal, a man knocked down a homeless man causing him to fall on his head and to lose consciousness and dying from his injury later in a hospital.

Again in Harlem, a wheelchair bound man took out a gun and fired four shots at a group of men following an argument he had with them.

And again in Harlem, cops in NYPD SUV’s responding to the aforementioned shooting above stopped in their tracks on the avenue when a block party was still going on and a pickup up truck was obstructing the road ahead. When the cops turned on their sirens to get the crowd to disperse, a majority of people threw glass booze bottles at their vehicles, leading the cops to retreat and leave the vicinity in what can be described as blowback from the weeks of protests calling for their abolishing and also the systematic brutality the NYPD executed against those demonstrators.

And again in Harlem, a man was shot on the street and tried to flee but collapsed and then his friend crashed his car trying to drive him to the hospital. Then he died.

In East Harlem, a man and a woman got shot at multiple times by the FDR drive.

Also in East Harlem, a 15-year-old boy got shot in the chest and refused to snitch on his shooter.

Again in East Harlem, a man got shot to death while he was riding a Citibike going home and got caught in the crossfire of a shootout.

And again in East Harlem, a 17-year-old boy got shot to death while hanging out with his friends on the grounds of the Washington Houses.

In NoMad, a man and a woman got shot at on the sidewalk in a drive-by shooting after leaving a rooftop bar where they had a fight with other people. The woman died after she took the bullet to the chest for her boyfriend as she pushed him out of the way as he got hit in the leg. This murder happened down the block from Jeff Bezos’s new three story lair on 26th Street.

In Downtown Manhattan, a militia of cops charged protesters that occupied the park grounds by City Hall for a week hours before Mayor de Blasio showed up for the budget hearings with City Council. Cops removed barricades the protesters took to guard their occupation and then arrested three people after the front of the surrogate courthouse building got tagged with political and vitriolic graffiti overnight.

The occupation grew to over 400 people and was able to match the numbers of the NYPD as they continued to curse them out and resist their presence enough to make the cops back up and stand at ease across the street from the park.

Occupiers decided to name it CHAZ (City Hall autonomous zone) after another protest group’s disastrous attempt to form a permanent protest zone in Seattle. The Naked Cowboy stopped by to have discourse with him but got smacked in the back of his head. In a bizarre development, protesters have also attacked journalists trying to report from the occupation, shockingly taking the same approach the NYPD did with journalists trying to cover the Black Lives Matter earlier in the month during the city wide 8 p.m. curfew.

Although the park already had poor people sleeping in the park, more homeless people arrived to the “abolition zone” which unfortunately led to outbursts and fights inside the occupation.

A couple of men protesting got aggro while following a NYPD inspector on the street and used their freedom of speech to make verbal threats to injure him and they wound up getting arrested. Then the phalanx of cops stood and watch a protester add more graffiti to the surrogate courthouse.

Another protester got irrationally irritated by a NY Post reporter who stopped by there and swung a 2×4 piece of wood at him while trying to knock the phone out of his hand and then ran away. Another protester threw his fist at that reporter without provocation. Police in the area treated the journalist’s charges against them with insouciance and did nothing.

Although the park already had poor people sleeping in the park, more homeless people arrived to the “abolition zone” which unfortunately led to outbursts and fights inside the occupation. Which made the sight of a man unloading loads of baseball bats from his car  by the AZ and handing them to various individuals very off-putting.

The police suddenly got active when Occupy City Hall protesters ran onto the Brooklyn Bridge as a unity march against gun violence organized by community faith activists and military veterans was crossing it along with members of the NYPD’s SBA union. When some of the protesters attempted to block the path on the bridge road, the cops deployed there along with Chief Terence Monahan managed to arrest three of them. Other protesters watching from the pedestrian path intervened in the arrest as one of them took a cane and whacked Monahan on the finger and two other high brass officers on their heads and then ran away on the road as her fellow protesters got into a violent clash with bike and motor scooter cops that rolled up on the pedestrian/bike path.

The City Hall Abolition Zone came to an anti-climatic yet still unsettling end when de Blasio’s NYPD arrived in riot gear with brand new shields and marched their way through the occupation and kicked everyone out with one guy getting cuffed for not giving up the fort as he threw a brick at the cops.

Which saved President Trump the trouble of sending federal sanction secret police to NYC to stop more graffiti being written on federal buildings.

Just walk away…

After the park was cleared out and the buildings and sidewalks powerwashed, it was discovered that the occupiers were going to the bathroom through a sidewalk grating above a catch basin in the City Hall/Brooklyn Bridge Station. Gross but fitting considering the way de Blasio turned his workplace into a pay-to-play cesspool for 6.7 years.

Also in Downtown Manhattan at the Wall St. Station, a man got slashed in the neck on the 4 train.

Again in Downtown Manhattan at the Chambers St. Station, a man pried open a plywood wall and found then stole a hand truck with tools and copper wire worth over $20,000. Then got on the J train and split with his plunder.

In the Upper West Side at the 86th St. Station, a man assaulted an off-duty cop and robbed her purse on the 1 train and ran out but got chased down by a Samaritan who caught him at the end of the platform. Following his act of heroism, the Samaritan continued his commute but succumbed to a heart attack and died at the 72nd St. Station.

Also in the Upper West Side, a man got shot to death on a street corner allegedly over an argument during a dice game.

In Central Park, a drunk man barged into a soccer game being played at 1 a.m. and stole the ball and kicked it around. When the pissed off crowd told him to get lost, the man took out a gun and shot one of the players in the leg. Who the fuck plays soccer after midnight? That’s as weird as flying a kite at night.

In Kips Bay, a man ambushed a woman on the sidewalk, put her in a chokehold and ran away with her purse.

In Chelsea, a man grabbed a purse containing an asthma pump and hearing aids off a 79-year-old woman and dragged her on the sidewalk as she wouldn’t let go. The bastard pried it off her and ran down the street.

Also in Chelsea, a man lurking by a supermarket attacked the manager with a hammer and hit him on the head as he was about to open the store, then the thug ran away. The perp was there regularly and was caught shoplifting and sexually harassing the workers there. The victim remarked that the conditions he’s seen the area in reminded him of the Bad Old Days.

In Midtown, Mayor de Blasio with his fucking wife and Al Sharpton and his National Action Network gathered together to paint a Black Lives Matter mural on the street in front of Trump Tower to spite the President of the United States, manifesting a de Blasio pandering virtue signalling tweet in real life as onlookers were booing his insincere act of tokenism to the social justice movement.

A few days later it was vandalized with red house paint as a man strolled by and took a can out of bag and spilled it on the slogan and ran off. After it was immediately cleaned up because the Blaz prioritizes civic duties when it comes to his vanity (and also his donors) it was splattered again the next day with blue paint by a transgender woman accompanied by three other LGBT women.

Then a Black woman showed up to the mural and channeling Jackson Pollack stylistically and mentally, spilled and smeared black paint all over the word Black while prosyletizing to passerby and gawkers with cellphones. Two cops meekly tried to restrain her but the power of Jesus compelled her to shove one of the cops away with such force that he hit his head on the asphalt. Hours after that woman got arrested, a White man wearing a MAGA hat ran over to the mural and splattered it with paint again as another man was waving a Blue Lives Matter flag in support. So with the latter vandalism on his message to Trump, the Blaz got the reaction from the demographic he was expecting.

When released on her own recognizance, while on her own recognizance she went into Bed-Stuy and Harlem and defaced those murals too with black paint with a couple of her allies, almost causing a near riot and getting into fights with residents witnessing their self-righteous yet constitutional vandalism.

Also in Midtown, a man drove and crashed an SUV he stole into a high end brand jewelry store.

Again in Midtown, protesters marching on the street surrounded an SUV and refused to let the driver through. Then they threatened to flatten his tires and used bikes as an obstruction and the man decided to drive on through, taking a bunch of bikes down the road that were placed under his vehicle. Following his arrest, the driver got off without charges.

And again in Midtown on the East River, two blockheads tried to beat the sweltering heat by hopping on an inflatable swan and chillaxing on the water only to wind up adrift and rescued by the FDNY. You know normal is fucked when life is imitating Sunny in Philadelphia.

And again in Midtown, a woman with a hammer furiously banged on a lamp post and then got chased by cops for blocks while she was swinging it at bystanders.

And again in Midtown at the 51st/Lexington Ave. Station, a homeless man got beat down by a cop and physically thrown off the 6 train along with his belongings when he refused to get off a near empty car because he had his bags on the seats. After kicking his bags like trash on the platform, other cops arrived and placed him on the floor and hogtied him and then the man was put on a gurney. The cop who arbitrarily targeted and brutalized him got off without charges.

In Washington Heights, a man was shot in the leg on the sidewalk.

Also in Washington Heights, a woman and her stepfather were ganged up on and beaten down inside a deli by a gang of men and women following an dispute instigated by one of the attackers.

In the Lincoln Tunnel, water started spewing inside from the walls.

In Inwood, two men involved in a drag race with another vehicle jump the gun and peel out and then an unmarked police car follows in pursuit as they speed on avenues and boulevards and under the elevated tracks and blowing red lights and going the wrong way on one way streets which resembles scene for scene in the Oscar-winning movie The French Connection.

Also in Inwood, a cop got hit and knocked to the pavement by a drunk driver in an SUV trying to flee from a supermarket parking lot where a party was going on that he and other cops were trying to break up and get people to disperse.

In Murray Hill, a parking garage building’s facade collapsed injuring a man sitting in a parked car from falling debris.

Following this profile by the NY Post with photos by William Farrington; NYC Parks Police, the NYPD and even another homeless man tried to moved his stuff off the fountain and were unsuccessful. The naked man, who claimed to be the son of God, refused the authorities suggestions/light demands and offers to go to one of the city’s hazardous homeless shelters so they let him be. Then the naked man laid down and placed his head on a stuffed unicorn and took a nap.

A day after he took a nature shower in his birthday suit as a Black Lives Matter rally was happening in the park, the naked delusional deity got into a handicapped wrestling match with two other men in the middle of the fountain which garnered the attention of 12 cops on patrol and gave them the justification to finally arrest him and send him to the hospital.
