Mood of New York City right now. Powerlessness.

Previously on this blog, Mayor Eric Adams took (some more) time off his duties as mayor to act as a tour guide for a bunch of students where he called himself the greatest mayor in the world. In the days following that, more cops retired from the force  leading the NYPD to take desperate measures to increase personnel by lowering fitness standards during academy training. Homeless shelters seen a dramatic rise in overdoses to add to the already dangerous environment inside them, lawlessness, ultraviolence and death continues to ravage Rikers Island and the subways continue to resemble a subterranean lunatic asylum and crime dystopia that commuters don’t want to return to.

Most prominent of all, gun violence continued it’s steady incline on the streets of New York City even with Governor Kathy Clown Hochul and Albany lawmakers mostly symbolic bill and law banning guns in supposedly “sensitive locations” in the five broughs in response to the Supreme Court of The United States decision to overturn gun ownership restrictions in New York. Which of course shouldn’t even concern the ones using the illegal guns in all these places Manhattan Borough President “Marky” Mark Levine lists on his dickhead tweet. As every location on there had a gun violence incident on the fourth of July when over 50 people got shot and around 90 percent of illegal gun users winds up back on the streets again anyway and the allied authorities still can stop the guns flowing through the Iron pipeline. Same as it ever was.

The guns on the streets have got so bad that towns once thought as gentrified and areas about to be gentrified have seen the crime levels rise as high as they did nearly a decade ago. East New York got so bad that memories of the Killing Fields that once described it during the bad old days has resurfaced. But it’s not just Crooklyn that has got bad again, all the five boroughs have seen major index crimes go up nearly 40% from last year which strangely hasn’t discouraged market rate rent speculation. Which makes rich bros like this guy confident to brag about his perception of NYC’s dystopia that has somehow eluded him that he can make a tweet like this. Surely this also plays a factor of the rising stats of delusional and naive victims thinking the streets are safe in their high end yet grimy enclaves. But probably not as bad as the putrid arrogance of Albany officials like Mike Gianaris, Carl Heastie and Andrea Cousins who still stand by their failed bail reform law decision.

But the biggest feature of Mayor Adams broken promise failure to bring crime down is the constant sightings of critical mass of hundreds of reckless driving ATV and dirtbikes on the streets that happens on a weekly basis. For even after did a big demonstration and spectacle (of himself) crushing hundreds of ATV and dirtbikes with a bulldozer after waving a massive checkered flag on Staten Island, more dirtbikes suddenly materialized to distrupt Hizzoner’s debut of a behemoth 5G tower in the Bronx with a tattooed millionaire tech bro.

This shows that even on the streets with a cop mayor, the recidivists still have the power.

Manhattan

In Hamilton Heights, a bodega worker got into an argument with a woman who didn’t have money to buy a bag of potato chips for her daughter and tried to use an EBT card to pay for it. After he took the chips away and refused service, the woman left the store and came back with her boyfriend, who barged behind the counter and manhandled the worker and pushed him to the floor. Then the worker took out a knife and stabbed him in the neck and torso and then was trying to fight him and his girlfriend off who also took out a knife and stabbed the worker multiple times. The man then bled out and died after being taken to the hospital to be treated. The bodega worker also got stabbed by the woman multiple times during the tussle that continued between the worker and her boyfriend.

The cops arrested the bodega worker and then he was indicted for murder and was set up for $500,000 bail and sent to Rikers Island by Manhattan District Attorney/Accomplice Alvin Bragg (which he lowered to $250,000 because he’s so progressive) despite video showing he was purely responding in self defense after being forced to the floor by his deceased aggressor and the incredible data for bodega robberies this year which went up a whopping 70% from last year. This is mostly stemmed from not only the state’s bail reform law but D.A. Bragg’s notorious memo that also lessened the charges of most felonies, which includes possession and use of a weapon, which somehow Bragg didn’t want his edicts to apply to Jose Mesa. But it somehow applied to the dead man’s girlfriend who maimed the bodega worker whose wounds wound up infected.

Public outcry and solidarity demanding for Mesa’s release extended by common sense officials, the majority of real New Yorkers that are aware of the crime and blight on the streets and even Mayor Adams (who predictably drew back his condemnation in fear of upsetting the Democrat establishment), that Bragg had no further recourse but to dropped all the charges against Mesa and decarcerating him. But the damage to the dogged bodega worker had been irreparable as he couldn’t go back to his job and decided to leave New York to go home to his native Dominican Republic but at least he exposed the utter arrogance of the DA and the arbitrary stupidity of Accomplice Bragg’s memo which has elevated even more the solidarity demand for his termination.

Also in Hamilton Heights at the 137th St./City College Station, a 15-year-old boy stabbed a 14-year-old boy to death during a fight that spilled from the platform and onto the tracks. All over drill rap songs they recorded where they dissed each other.

Cops working the transit beat has seen a rise of attacks against them and Adams and Sewell (and clandestinely Phil Banks) wanted to have them work single patrols not long ago.

The cops spent 100 rounds to take the man down after he drew his weapon and fired first.

Here’s the thing about this incident, clearly this man was suffering from a mental episode, so why weren’t mental health aides or even violence interrupters accompanying the cops in the response, like the “B-Heard” teams that Adams announced and said would de-escalate situations like this months ago? Is it because he made those threats against high ranking officials?

Blood in the concrete

Mayor Adams first summer in charge of New York City has resulted in an unfortunate series of disasters as the gun violence continued to surge despite the efforts of the NYPD after getting reportedly thousands of guns off the streets and after appointing another one of his long time friends to a mayoral advisory position as his “gun czar” despite having a record of corrupt misuse and pilfering of funds from his non-profit violence prevention organization for personal gain and spending.

While Adams is definitely the most insecure mayor in the nation who needs to deflect blame on every mistake and failure he’s responsible for in his short time running this town, he gets brownie points for pointing out what the state’s bail reform laws and leniency towards criminal recidivism has done to cause the meteoric rise in every felony category. Too bad he ruins any credibility he can get by not criticizing the feature of this warping of the criminal justice system that is being perpetrated by the arrogant Manhattan’s  District attorney Accomplice Alvin Bragg and his current staff of incompetent prosecutors who don’t do any actual prosecuting.

Mayor Adams should also reserve some of his laughing stock analogy for his own Board of Education commissioner and long time friend David Banks since schools have become hotbeds of violence as well. Drawing down suspensions has made truants more emboldened to commit violent acts against faculty and gang violence has become more prevalent at the schools.

Meanwhile, car theft statistics continue to mount to new highs while more NYC citizens are driving more than ever because of the continuing decline of service and incline of crime on the transit system. Even old school pick pocketing and purse snatching has resurfaced during this new regression of subway safety.

Even though shootings saw an precipitous drop, all the other felonious crimes saw double and triple hikes in June. Sadly the city’s elected fauxgressive shitlibs are still desperately trying to minimize the reality of our surroundings despite that 3/4 of the constituency are certain that they inevitably will be mugged, shot or deliberately and randomly attacked for no reason.

And even though Mayor Adams tries to speak sincerely about the crime issues that have revived fears among his constituency, it’s all instantly obscured with his persistence in partying with oligarchs and celebrities, his irrational stubborn insistence in keeping vaccine mandates going which has led to a stunning exodus of city workers especially by the NYPD, and his proclivity for atrocious gaffes ranging from stupid ass shit to crass self-aggrandizement.

Maybe Adams should check himself before he wrecks himself when he describes the system he needs to change as a laughingstock.

Can’t make this shit up folks. What’s old is new again.

Breaking New Bad Days: Big Trouble In Little Guyana II

South Richmond Hill, Queens, New York

Another broad daylight crime happened again in Little Guyana on bustling Liberty Avenue.

Last time it was a brawl on a street corner back on the first day of the Spring that involved a man resorting to taking out a meat cleaver to settle it, which led to cops ultimately ending the tussle by drawing guns on him.

This time it was an attempted robbery of a cell phone store that recently opened. Which led to a massive response by the NYPD and crowds of cellphone correspondents and lookie-loos.

Only one local corporate news station showed up at the incident, Disney/ABC7NY their van parked two blocks away from the scene of the crime.

One cop was hurt during this robbery and was wheeled out on a gurney into the ambulance writhing in pain. This cop’s partner was also injured during this robbery attempt according to Eyewitness News very brief report which doesn’t have any information about the extent of their injuries or how the perp injured them while resisting arrest.

It looks like this was a smash and grab attempt that went wrong. The cops also procured an ebike that was probably used as a getaway ride.

From this layman’s POV, it’s amazing how these cops were able to swiftly respond and stop a smash and grab robbery while in progress. Lucky for this cellphone store, it looks like they were at the right place at the right time.

You never know what you’ll bump into next in these New Bad Days on these NYC streets. Let’s be careful out there and be aware of your surroundings. Deadass.

While acting absolutely giddy pimping for Big Pharma and issuing mandates, The Blaz is looking even more tired and disinterested with the continuing escalation of crime on his and your streets and also in the subway and schools. Except when he lies on national television about it. Like his recent interview with Mike Wallace’s son Chris on Fox News only a few days ago.

Truly the most unbelievable gaslighting ever done by a local, national or international politician (at least at this moment). The Blaz with wanton hubris actually conflated the five boroughs covid cases with crime trend fabrications wholly conjured in his mind and by his staff to declare NYC the “safest big city in America”.  This lunatic’s ego is so massive even his id and superego can’t share the same space in his head anymore and they are now fashioning his policies and surely his cosplay gubernatorial platform.

This kook has deliberately isolated himself from his constituents and reality for 8 years and is going to ride this crazy train of lies and damned statistics til New Years Eve. As the big apple descends into a modern day clockwork orange.

Here we go with a little bit more of the ultraviolence..

Manhattan

In Midtown, a 62-year-old man walked past by a gang on the sidewalk and one of them yelled at him for looking at his direction, then the offended man whacked him with a blunt object and his crew and another gang of men joined in the attack and beat him down to the pavement and stabbed and slashed him multiple times.

They seemed to enjoyed it.

Cops took security cam footage from the store and was able to trace the deviant to a house in Ozone Park where he was hiding out where his mother lived. The man got arrested after futilely trying to flee from the cops by running through backyards and then to the Belt Parkway where he got trapped in a boggy creek. A judge sentenced him without bail at his arraignment. The skel was hiding out in this city after breaking an ankle monitor while under probation for a crime he committed in Florida.

Prior to the shoving, the woman ran after the man on the platform because he sexually molested her a few days earlier and the perp’s attorney is actually using that to get his client off by claiming nearly getting her running over by a train was self-defense.

Also in Times Square, a man sleeping at the Port Authority station got awaken by cops and was found a loaded automatic rifle and two full clips of bullets, along with a knife and bag of pot. He’s lucky he won’t get charged for the pot, there was once a time when he would serve a longer sentence for possessing that than the arsenal he was carrying.

Again in Times Square at the 42nd St. Station, a woman slashed a man in the face to settle an argument on the NRQ platform.

In Harlem, a row of shuttered small business stores got destroyed by a fire. Residents suspect arson was the cause because of a developers grapples with the city to build a tower on the spaces.

The driver was involved in a car theft only 3 weeks earlier but was sprung by the state’s generously lenient bail reform laws.

Bronx

In Marble Hill, a man shot at another man on the street in broad daylight and a stray bullet hit a woman on the leg as she was pushing her child in her stroller as the targeted man ran by her. The woman and recent victim of wanton gun violence no longer wants to live in New York City anymore because of the meteoric rise in crime that the Mayor, elitist shitlib snobs and urbanish people on social media still refuse to acknowledge.

In Mott Haven, a fire broke out from a clogged trash chute that came from a broken down and city neglected trash compactor that was ripped out of a wall inside a Mitchel Houses apartment building. The smoke that came from the trash chute killed a 6-year-old boy and left his father unconscious in the hallway and hospitalized in critical condition as he tried to save him and himself. A resident of the  building in grief over his dog dying in the blaze and victimized by a thief who sneaked into his apartment and robbed over $14,000 of his property noted that the trash compactor of the building had been out of service for weeks and numerous complaints and tickets written to NYCHA to get it repaired went unanswered.

A Department of Investigation report revealed that trash chute complaints have doubled in public housing buildings in the past year, and all NYCHA management did to alleviate the problem was to tell tenants to bring their garbage outside and leave it at the curb.

Also in Mott Haven, after failing to rob a 16-year-old boy at gunpoint at the 143rd St Station, a man on a scooter got some accomplices to aid him in two other gunpoint robberies at other train stations and succeeded in ripping off a cellphone, ear pods and a wallet from a couple, then he and another man stuck up a 15-year-old boy and robbed his cellphone and laptop. The young gangbanger also stuck a gun in his mother’s face a few years earlier and got indicted and pleaded guilty for an armed robbery he was involved in last year but was only given 5 years probation and let loose on the streets again by a judge. Guess having a man die was the only way for justice to work for hardened criminals. Another man involved in the gang-related attack of this hard working citizen got arrested while possessing bags of hundreds of vials of crack.

Also in Fordham Heights, tenants at an apartment building had maggots dripping from the ceilings and crawling in the walls that emanated from an apartment of two decomposed dead bodies of a man and woman where a murder/suicide occurred a week earlier. (This crime scene was actually a subject of a lyric of classic Rolling Stones song from 1978 about the height of the bad old days in New York City.) When exterminators came after detectives investigated the crime scene for weeks which exacerbated the infestation , they used roach spray to kill them and it had no effect on the maggots.

The troubled woman got shot to death by her abusive crack addict boyfriend who also happened to be a pimp according to a neighbor. Prior to their horrific deaths, the man strangled her during a domestic dispute and then would sneak into her apartment through the window by the fire escape even after she had her locks changed to keep him out. She also lost custody of her two kids because of his addiction and sordid state of the household.

In Fordham Manor, a man determinedly went up to a cop on a street corner and bashed him on the head from behind with a loaded backpack that contained a dvd player, a small safe and a collection of porno films on dvd. Since this psycho committed this irrational attack in front of other cops he immediately got arrested despite putting up a violent struggle.  But despite randomly assaulting a cop and resisting arrest (and previously serving time for attempted murder of a cop he stabbed multiple times over a decade ago), he was released without bail after his arraignment.

Then after he got arrested and released for that crime, he robbed a backpack off a woman at knifepoint at the Canal St. Station in Chinatown. Then after being released for that crime without bail and bragging about it, he stole a cellphone off a commuter at the 145 St./Lenox Ave. Station in Harlem and jumped on the tracks and ran into the tunnel but got caught by the cops who were waiting for him at the next station. Despite this third strike in three days, a judge decided to release the man without bail again and ordered him to go to Bellevue for a psych evaluation for 3 days. 3 is still the magic number especially for this guy.

In Fordham, a 17-year-old boy got shot in the knee in a drive-by right as he was leaving his high school after the final bell rang. Faculty demanded to know where Mayor-elect Eric Adams was as they have been trying to meet with him because outgoing derelict Mayor de Blasio only cares if students are vaccinated.  Eric Adams was probably primping himself to go club-hopping later that night.

In Mount Eden, three men cornered two other men at gunpoint and snatch a gold chain off one of them, then they shot them both as they tried to flee, killing one of them and wounding the other.

In Mount Hope, a man got shot in the ass following a dispute with his assailant on the street.

In Olinville, a gang of four boys stepped up to a fruit stand and then one of them took out a bb gun and shot a worker in the face as another bastard filmed it for social media. Then the hooligans went up to the 219th St. Station and did and filmed the same stunt again when they shot a conductor in the face right when he pulled down his window on the 2 train.

Also in Olinville, a man hunted down another man on a street and shot him in the stomach in broad daylight.
