Queens

On Rikers Island, an inmate was found dead from a drug overdose inside his cell, making him the 10th prisoner to perish inside one of the few facilities left after a law the city council cronies enacted and the current mayor signed decreed that the island be shut down permanently.

Also on Rikers Island, a clerical fugazi allowed a convicted burglar who was sentenced for 20 months for robbing three small businesses to run free and was found and re-detained back on his hunting grounds in Staten Island.

Again on Rikers Island, an inmate stole a corrections bus and crashed it into a prison wall after the C.O. driver left the keys in the ignition while he was processing paperwork with another C.O.

And again on Rikers Island, an inmate who was gang affiliated and convicted of murder was found dead in his cell following a transfer from the prison barge docked in the Bronx.

And again on Rikers Island, three inmates brutally beat down another inmate inside his cell because they thought he was in a rival gang.

And again on Rikers Island, an inmate saw a shitlib city council crony and threw toilet water at him from behind a glass partition.

And again in Rikers Island, three inmates ganged up on a maintenance worker and stole his watch, sneakers and smokes as one of them stuck a shiv to his side.

And again on Rikers Island, an inmate who was serving time for shooting up a speakeasy nite club in Williamsburg where he sprayed five people at their legs was found to be the hit-and run driver who ran over and killed a woman with a fancy car in Ozone Park by a catholic school and got charged with murder. So let’s decarcerate him.

And again on Rikers Island, a C.O. caught an inmate with a weapon on him while he was doing a work detail and then the convict punched him the face and broke his jaw while he tried to bring him back to a higher security level area. The inmate was arraigned for the homicide of his girlfriend.

Since the city closed facilities on the prison complex island, two of them that had medical clinics, to rush it’s eventual transfer to four tower prisons in four boroughs sans S.I. that won’t fully materialize until 2027, a fifth of the C.O.’s have been calling in sick and the remaining guards have been working triple shifts trying to prevent daily insurrections and attacks by unruly inmates. Under staffing has been so rife, inmates have taken over their duties logging prisoners on days when they go 24 hours without C.O. supervision.

What was always a common occurrence inside the prisons, gang beatdowns are even more pronounced as inmates film the ultraviolence and post them on social media sites like TikTok and also rap videos with inmates flashing cash and high end hooch. The drug trade has also raged out of control because there are not enough C.O.’s to search them.

While the Blaz deliberately stalled into visiting Rikers for weeks after being hammered with questions daily about it and by slightly acknowledging the crisis he’s been ignoring for mostly the last 4 years.., NY State senators and assembly officials were demanding to visit the prison and see the humanitarian crisis for themselves. But as is wont of the Blaz, he fabricated a hill of bullshit by citing his executive authority can only allow them to visit the prisons or any government building. But since New York government officials have the privileged right to enter any government building they want, Blaz’s dropped his pathetic obstruction and the senators and assembly people went the next day.

And what a day it was. As they all assembled at a podium in front of Rikers giant welcoming sign on the corner of Hazen St. and 19th Ave, young women elected officials one by one furiously railed about the horrid and hazardous conditions and environment during their tour of the wretched facilities. One of them even claimed she saw an inmate attempted suicide by hanging himself in his cell (although no one happened to see any impromptu gang violence or regular drug dealing when they were inside there).

Although they acknowledged the maltreatment the C.O.’s and workers at Rikers are getting from the city (but not from the recidivist violent inmates), the Corrections Dept. union leader held a rally right near them and confronted the liberal collective right after they were calling for the general release of the entire prison population. Yet the two groups found solidarity in their abject and apt criticism of current mayor de Blasio, who cowardly tried to prevent this tour from happening. Rikers workers continued to hold protests against the mayor and the crony he hired as interim Dept of Corrections commissioner to oversee the prison complex as it got worse under his feeble supervision during it’s draw down transition to tower prisons that are a half decade away, who a high brass C.O. labeled as an asshole puppet of the Blaz. The asshole puppet lived up to his reputation by proclaiming that fixing Rikers is impossible because the recurring violence behind bars is unstoppable mainly because of absent C.O.’s although depriving the prisoners of basis services. Besides losing medical services because of the loss of clinics from two recently closed facilities, inmates no longer have recreational activities or even access to the library.

As the pressure mounted following the Rikers protest, The Blaz continued to avoid Rikers and evade questions about touring the prison complex even though he was holding his recent silly city hall in your borough week in Queens, where Rikers happens to call it’s home. Following a presser teasing when he will visit, he finally went to Rikers immediately after his daily variety show press briefing that very day and evidently he made sure he avoided all the corridors where thousands of inmates were located and even avoided the C.O.’s on the floor who do the risky and bold work trying to keep the jail secure for visitors like the soft elitist mayor of NYC, while they weren’t even getting paid for the triple shifts they were induced to take. All the dilapidated conditions and human excrement were suddenly scoured clean and painted over and his crony asshole puppet commissioner had all the inmates shuttled to another intake facility that resembled a medieval goolag with the maggots and their own shit just to placate the realities of the prison the mayor only chooses to see, despite the known risk of causing a superspreader area because of the congregate setting. Another thing that made the Blaz’s Rikers tour a cakewalk was that he recently deployed 100 cops to fill work as C.O.’s to the island a few days earlier. If not for the anarchy that has overtaken the jails, this would be another misuse of city safety services the Blaz selfishly exploited with his undeserved privilege as NYC’s Mayor.

When confronted with a question about his pussy tour of Rikers and his deliberate avoidance of engaging with C.O.’s and prisoners who have to work and live under the decrepit conditions resulting from his complicit insouciance that purposely led to them, the Blaz feebly responded with the most heinous missive that he’s ever defecated out of his big faceanus:

“I don’t need to be reminded of something I already know”

Not only is this cold blooded and tone deaf statement a confirmation of his wanton arrogant avoiding of C.O.s and inmates, it’s also monstrously inhumane, being that he knows and has practically accepted what a shithole the prisons are and how the internationally renowned humanitarian crisis exacerbated under his indifference and there was a point when he decided he was going to let it rot. Surely right when he got re-elected. It’s also the Blaz’s most hilarious self-own, since that stupidly haughty statement can apply to every other issue and crisis that has turned into a bigger mountain of shit under his watch, like Vision Zero, affordable housing, and the city’s sewer system that crapped out and flooded the streets and highways of Queens, Kings and Boogie Down counties. Plus anyone can apply it to the mayor himself in casual conversation.

“Man, de Blasio is such a fucktard dickhead”

“I don’t need to be reminded of what I already know cuz”

Now that the Blaz has finally made no bones for being unaccountable for Rikers Island, it’s inmates and security because of he already knows how fucked up it is there, he continues to blame the court system for making it harder to get violent criminals off the streets that have led to rise in felonies in his city, accusing them of being too slow to process cases while discounting the city’s court buildings under his purview that are still under shoddy conditions and not safe to distance from COVID-19/Delta Variant spread. But this wouldn’t be a problem if the borough district D.A.’s weren’t dismissing thousands of criminal cases because of the 10 month old bail reform laws that has sprung over 6,500 perpetrators because of the state assembly’s re-categorizations of the severity of the crimes committed. (Or is that re-imagining). And thousands more will be released because of the humanitarian crisis the Blaz, Governor Kathy, the city council cronies, and the state and assembly fauxgressives are complicit with for their ill-written bail reform and their asinine advocacy legislation for Rikers closure, acting as useful idiots for rapacious developers chomping at the bit for all that vast real estate on the ground and in the ether. All for collective regressive effort to close Rikers Island by any means necessary is clearly having an impact on the streets and on the minds of recidivist criminals and gangbangers practically rejoicing at the decarceration culture being induced on the public from fauxgressive politicians and social media pundits as teenagers are getting shot and killed on the streets where these elites fear to tread.

While he’s telling people off for reminding him of what he already knows, he then tries to remind everyone about dubious drops in shootings from the last year in certain NYPD enclaves while blowing off how shootings have doubled and tripled in other enclaves. As the Summer of Blaz and September ended, a total of 1,384 people got shot on the streets, already passing last years total with another 3 months left in this blood stained year. And if this isn’t offensive and repulsive enough, Jizzoner’s response to all this violence and crime he has been blocking from his brain for the last two years is to hire more municipal workers to NYPD precincts to greet victims of crimes looking to file reports or citizens looking to visit friends and relatives on lockdown because of the perception of the crabby cop behind the desk who won’t help them. The twisted irony of this idiotic program is it’s coming from a motherfucker who’s been the shittiest and surliest host of NYC for 8 years; who doesn’t even deign to greet C.O.’s and prisoners after being browbeaten to by his establishment fauxgressive Democrat party peers. So instead of telling precinct desk cops to be more cordial and informative to his constituents, he spends 5.7 million dollars to put a bunch of B to do their jobs for them.

This abomination reign of de Blasio can’t decompose soon enough.

But that was fortunately kiboshed because of the investigations of the lowlife creep’s nursing home death and pandemic novel profiteering and sexual harassment scandals, the latter which forced him to resign and that was that.

There is still no update about how this apocalyptic blaze started. And Queens is still burning.

In Mariners Harbor, a man got shot to death by a teenage male in a broad daylight gang related attack. The victim was expecting the birth of his third child.

In Huguenot, a man ambushed a woman jogging by a high school and robbed her cellphone at gunpoint.

In Prince’s Bay, a man stalked another man to his home and tapped on his window with a knife to intimidate him and then refused to give it to cops who were called to defuse the situation.

In Castleton Corners, four men jumped another man on the sidewalk and held him up at gunpoint and knifepoint in broad daylight and robbed his backpack containing 35 large in cash.

In Port Richmond, a man flipping car handles on the street got lucky and found one car’s door was left open and he stole $2,000 and $120 bag of weed. The NYPD now has to report marijuana as stolen property because it’s legal, which is hilarious.

Also in Port Richmond, a man burglarized thousands of dollars worth of tools from garages, sheds and trucks and sold them on the street because he needed the money.

Again in Port Richmond, two young men carjacked a Chinese food delivery man with a BB gun that resembled a glock. The two thieves got pursued by the cops and the driver wound up hitting a man riding a bike after running two red lights while trying to get away.

And again in Port Richmond, a man stuck up a man with a switchblade knife and got nabbed by cops who caught him possessing heroin.

And again in Port Richmond, an argument between two men on the street escalated when one of them pulled out a box cutter and the other wielded an ax to settle their dispute. The man with the ax had the advantage, managing to leave cuts on his foe’s hands.

In Grymes Hill, cops raided an apartment suspected of drug dealing and arrested four men and a woman after they found two 9mms, hundreds of painkillers and nearly 10 large in cash.

In Tompkinsville, a man stole a designer bag and sunglasses worth two grand that he easily snatched from a car with the door left open.

At a Sanitation Dept. site, current mayor de Blasio held a publicity stunt to show what tough guy and authoritarian he thinks he is ordering the NYPD to demolished a bunch of dirtbikes, ATV’s and motorcycles with a bulldozer in a pathetic p.s.a. tweet.

The following day, an on-duty cop in full uniform rode on saddleback on one of those dirt bikes at a parade in Greenpoint.

Then a few days after that embarrassing optic, a gang of dirt bike riders and ATV drivers monopolized the streets of Williamsburg.

Federal SNAP Cuts Are Driving New York City’s Poor People, Government Agencies And City Cops To Take Drastic And Society Dismantling Chances

https://cdn3.img.sputniknews.com/images/107056/48/1070564859.pngYes, that is the baby’s head that cop is palming.

Boerum Hill, Brooklyn And Inwood, Manhattan, New York, U.S.A.

The scene was at a Human Resources Administration office in Boerum Hill, Brooklyn. A mother with her 1-year-old child along with many others were waiting four hours to get assistance to get or recover SNAP benefits that were suddenly denied to them.

Reportedly, the woman, Jazmine Headley was there addressing her difficulty getting a work voucher and SNAP benefits was frustrated about her desperate situation that it led to an argument between her and the HRA staffers.

Compounding this fracas, the place was so crowded with people waiting for over four hours to get help that HRA apparently (or allegedly) ran out of chairs, leading Ms. Headley and her child no choice but to sit on the floor against the wall, which apparently didn’t sit well with the authority figures there, who then ordered HRA’s contractor security guards to command her to get up. When the Ms. Headley profusely refused they called 911 and have some police officers bounce her and her child out. Then all hell broke loose.

The video is a veritable play by play of current arbitrary police procedure. Although violently pulling an infant is a new one. How the cop managed to physically tear that kid from her mother’s arms while she was prone on the ground with 3 other cops wrestling her and not breaking his body can be considered a miracle and also if there is a NYPD training session with a doll for this type of situation. Another new one is pulling a taser and pointing it at the horrified crowd. But the usual method is in play here, like having cops or agents (like those two wearing suits) act as a shield to prevent witnesses from filming with cellphones.

The woman was eventually arrested and was quickly put through the justice system. As she faced a judge it was not only for resisting arrest and other charges brought about from the struggle with police, but also a warrant over her use of another person’s credit card. Then she was sent to Rikers Island.

This grotesque and cruel incident has gives the impression that being poor and complaining about being denied due benefits, as well as sitting on the floor against the wall in a spacious room, is now a crime in New York City.

But new information has come out in the aftermath and it has actually made this look worse for all individuals involved, and it doesn’t seem that an incident like this can even be preventable in the near future.

Being justifiably frustrated and pissed off about her SNAP benefits vanishing and missing a day at work at a job she just got and not being able to get a sitter for her child, Ms. Headley was inconsolable and took out her frustration on the HRA peace officers and workers there by profusely cursing them out. It turned out that they had spare chairs and the child was in a stroller but she refused them in a mixture of protest and spite and wound up sitting on the floor with her son.

Then the cops showed up and in another video from the front angle showed how the brutal wresting of the child began. At first it was calm has the woman was lying down on the floor protecting her baby, then the ill-thought procedure commenced and it gets worse from there. Where you can see the three cops trying to pry the child from the mother’s arms who continues to resist. You can also see the HRA agent aggressively pulled the mother’s arms and also the mother’s terrible misjudgement of wrapping her legs around and also hitting her son on the head in a vain attempt to stop them from taking him. Ms. Headly also bit the guards who tried to detain her prior to the cops showing up.

Despite the later reports on Ms. Headley and the phsyical risk she inflicted on her child, it still does not compare to the arbitrary, callous and crass handling of her situation. That is still a one-year-old child. A fragile human being. The way to handle it would have been to exercise patience and continue to talk to her and persuade her to settle down. It would have taken a while but she would have probably calmed down if they convinced her about putting her child at risk by not cooperating. Besides, it wasn’t like there was any progress going on at that SNAP center if hundreds were already waiting to be served.

But nothing can beat the half-assed empathy statements and obligatory indignation from top city officials:

From NYPD Commissioner O’Neal: “Thank goodness nobody was hurt, or at least at the time nobody reported any injuries” (What he meant to say: Thank goodness nobody reported any injuries)

From Mayor de Blasio, who noted how disturbed he was when he saw the footage, and deferred to the NYPD and HRA to get to the “bottom of it”, once again gutlessly passing the buck and shirking responsibility, leadership. And also judgement, because that HRA center security guards are provided by FJC Securities, which is already in hot water for their coverup of a man getting beat down by their guards in a homeless shelter in Brooklyn.

And most notably, the scornful avoidance and willful ignorance of the incident as shown by the pseudo-official wife of the mayor, co-mayor Chirlane McCray. As a reporter tried to question her, a woman (who was either one of her overpaid aides or a cop doing security) shoved her and made sure she kept a steady and long distance from the so-called feminist and tireless advocate for women.

Rosa Goldensohn on Twitter: “.@NYCFirstLady asked about Jazmine Headley arrest: “No comment.”… “

As for the authority figures involved in the melee’, the two HRA security guards who initially were dealing with Ms. Headley’s frustration and her volatile actions wound being suspended for a month and the cops involved with the physical extraction of the child and pulled a taser out to make the crowd disperse who were filming it will not face any disciplinary action. And also will not be identified because of the 50A provision civil rights law being profusely exploited by the NYPD to protect misbehaving and rogue cops.

The biggest tragic irony behind this is provided by well-meaning and tech-worshipping incompetent city officials. As the head honcho at HRA, Steven Banks, decided to make applying for and conducting benefit transfers for SNAP benefits through online applying through an app despite the fact that Trump and the Republican House have devoured funding from the program through draconian budget cuts which has rendered this convenience for millions of citizens who applied online for this arrangement being left in the lurch. As for SNAP, well that funding had to be diverted to pay for the oligarch welfare tax cut bill that was ratified last year by the wealthy hedonist Congressional and Senate officials and signed by the Sharpie-wielding President and also to the Pentagon for another 700+ billion dollars for the war on terror and now cyberwarfare.

Despite the booming economy, this money has not trickled down to those who need services the most, notably the working poor, who are having trouble buying food combined with the astronomically inflated rising cost of living in the five boroughs. Which includes the hundreds at Boerum Hill waiting for the aid they expected and those who suddenly had them ripped from them without notice.

Which now also includes a man who was recently victimized by government inaction and decided he was not going to take it anymore. At an HRA center in Inwood in Manhattan, Davaun Fournillier destroyed a laptop belonging to a worker while demanding to have his benefits restored and made sure to remind the staff there that “we’re not in Brooklyn” in obvious reference to the chaotic incident just a barely over a week agothen broke the wrist of a HRA guard who tried to handcuff him and detained him for the cops to arrive. When they cops showed up, they did nothing because they “didn’t know what to do”, even though Mr. Fournillier’s daughter was alone in another room waiting and they wouldn’t even call ACS or notify the child’s mom. Ironically, the prior incident in Boerum Hill has made the NYPD virtually handcuffed to respond to emergency situations at welfare offices. Not ironic and what is now atypical NYPD procedure, is that cop who said that and did not help identity’s also not being disclosed to the public.

This year of 2018 has bared witness to a lot of dystopian systematic bullshit and incompetence embedded in our government services that to summarize it would take a massive tome or 5 GB PDF file. But what happened this December at two welfare offices might have to suffice for now. And it may just be the genesis of a burgeoning insurrection that will unfold if this doesn’t get staunched. For what Ms. Headly did when she also endangered her child and what Mr. Fournillier did when he took his rage out on and assaulted that security officer which has made his personal situation even more dire now that he is facing charges and fines, were acts of resistance towards a broken unfair system still favoring the most wealthy and powerful, enabled by opportunistic selfish politicians who are using people hired to enforce the laws and maintain order as cudgels to defend these fugazi bureaucracies as taxpayer funded services continue to lag for people to desperate and to dependent on their stagnating paychecks and trying to survive under crushing economic inequities to live in NYC to fight back.

It’s not (yet), but it’s a telling start.
